We are David and Janice, the proud owners of Best Friend Care pet
boarding. We have been operating Best Friend Care since 2015 and have
thoroughly enjoyed meeting and loving hundreds of dogs and cats and
their owners. And we look forward to meeting many more!

Originally from the Fraser Valley, we lived in California for three years and then
twenty-two years in northern Alberta, where we raised our three kids. A few years ago
we decided it was time for a change, leaving behind the -40 degrees snowy winters
and moved to beautiful Vancouver Island.
David
Owner
David grew up on a dairy farm in Chilliwack and worked in various agriculture and construction-related jobs before attending university and becoming a psychologist. He ran his own practice for 22 years in Grande Prairie, Alberta. He has always loved being around animals, having raised cats and dogs of his own. He is glad to be back living the rural life and getting his hands dirty once again. David also really enjoys photography and is aiming to do more photography of the beautiful animals that board at Best Friend Care.
Janice
Owner
Janice grew up in a rural area of the Fraser Valley. She has owned cats for the majority of her life and enjoys them very much. A deep love for cats would not be an exaggeration. She previously worked as a Registered Dental Assistant in Chilliwack and Grande Prairie. When the opportunity came up to spend more time with cats and dogs, we jumped at the chance. The change has been great and it is wonderful to meet so many amazing people and their ‘Best Friends’.
