What should I bring?
- Your dog - in all the hurry and flurry on travel day - it can happen. Don't forget the dog!
- Proof of current vaccination - including Bordatella (otherwise known as "kennel cough")
- Emergency contact numbers and / or special instructions for your pet's care
- A small towel, t-shirt, sock or baby sized blanket - as a scent reminder of home
- Dog food, if your dog is on a special diet - please provide instructions and label any containers with dog's name and your last name. (An extra day's supply is helpful just in case you are delayed)
- Medications and Supplements - Please label clearly and provide instructions on paper
- Dog Leash - we would like your dog to arrive on leash however, we do not need the leash while you are away. A place to hang the leash is provided - however, these can be subject to loss or damage which we cannot be liable for. It may be best to take it with you and bring it back when you come to pick up your dog.
What NOT to bring!
- Please do not bring large blankets, stuffed beds or blankets, or foam beds. These can be very difficult for us to keep dry and clean. The dogs are going in and out frequently and therefore need frequent changes of bedding.
- We are more than happy to provide clean, dry towels and mats on top of our KURANDA beds as needed for your pet's comfort and safety.
- Please do not bring toys that will be badly missed if lost or damaged. Toys can easily fall prey to another dog during playtime so we ask that any toys you bring are those you can afford to lose.
- We provide all kinds of balls, kongs, chewies, and squeakies that we are happy to use for your pet.
- Please do not bring bowls and water dishes. We have stainless steel bowls and water dishes - these are washed between every meal to maintain a healthy environment for your pet. We do not want to lose or damage your feeding dishes.
Why Kuranda Beds?
We use Kuranda beds because they are:
- Very comfortable for your pet
- Especially good for dogs with joint problems
- Very cleanable for your pet's health
- Very durable, just in case your pet likes to chew
- Easy for us to manage so that we have more time to spend with your pet
